Cybersecurity Training Specialist

Cybersecurity Training Specialist 
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training content for technical staff, leadership, and mission support personnel. 
  • Create guidance materials, presentations, and interactive modules aligned with the DoD. 
  • Maintain and update training repositories, ensuring content reflects current threats, technologies, and compliance standards. 
  • Facilitate training sessions using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and learning management systems. 
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs to ensure training aligns with operational needs and mission assurance priorities. 
  • Assess training effectiveness through surveys, evaluations, and performance metrics. 
  • Ensure training materials meet accessibility, classification, and version control standards. 
  • Track and report metrics. 
  • Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and instructional technologies. 
  • Study and identify individual or group training needs, and administer plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs. 
  • Analyze training program effectiveness and submit reports and recommendations to management. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in instructional design or cybersecurity training, or a related field in lieu of degree. 
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity training or instructional design. 
  • 5+ years of Experience with collaboration and training platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, LMS). 
  • Experience developing and delivering training in secure or classified environments preferred. 
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity workforce frameworks. 
  • Must have active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility. 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  
  • Proficiency in developing training materials and interactive content. 
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills across diverse audiences. 
  • Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into accessible training content. 
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners in both technical and leadership roles. 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt programs accordingly 
  • Collaborate across departments to align training with mission needs. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability. 
  • Good work ethic and active desire to learn. 
  • Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team. 
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements. 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
