This portal has been created to provide incumbents and prospective team members with timely updates, important transition information, staffing communications, and ongoing program announcements as information becomes available.
The contract team is led by AretecSBD as the Prime Contractor, with Chronos Operations and Alagant proudly supporting as subcontractor partners. 1. Who is the Prime Contractor for this effort?
AretecSBD is the Prime Contractor for the CBP TSD effort, supported by Chronos Operations and Alagant as subcontractor partners.
2. Will incumbent employees be given an opportunity to interview?
Yes. The team is actively engaging with incumbents to discuss available positions aligned with the contract scope and staffing requirements.

4. Will positions remain remote or onsite?
Most positions are expected to remain remote, with select roles requiring onsite support based on contract and customer requirements. GFE and PIV pickup will need to be coordinated at one of the pickup locations.
5. Will current salaries and benefits remain the same?
Compensation and benefits will be discussed during the recruiting and offer process. Every effort will be made to provide competitive compensation packages aligned with contract requirements and labor categories.
6. Will my current government-issued equipment transfer to the new contract?
Equipment transfer processes are determined by the Government and incumbent contractor coordination. Additional guidance regarding existing laptops, badges, tokens, and other government-furnished equipment will be communicated as it becomes available.
7. Will my background investigation (BI) or clearance package transfer?
In many cases, existing BI packages and clearances may be transferable, subject to Government approval and reciprocity processes. The security team will provide guidance during onboarding.
8. Will I need to complete a new onboarding process?
Yes. All employees transitioning to the new contract will complete company onboarding requirements, including HR documentation, security processing, and any customer-required forms.
9. Will there be any interruption in employment during transition?
The transition team is working closely with the Government and incumbent staff to minimize any disruption in support and onboarding timelines.
10. How will updates and communications be shared?
Updates regarding staffing, onboarding, timelines, and transition activities will be posted through the transition portal and communicated directly by the recruiting and program management teams.
