Construction Superintendent

Chenega Worldwide Support is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent who will focus on project development, management, and oversight of all work efforts associated with the building interior demolition and renovation of project(s) at Office of the Comptroller Currency. The Construction Superintendent shall lead and direct technical and administrative project teams both onsite and offsite, including CONUS and OCONUS locations, and execute and monitor project activities. The Construction Superintendent shall manage changes to scope, cost and schedule of project work, relaying pertinent information to the Contacting Officer Representative (COR). The Construction Superintendent shall coordinate priorities and resources between multiple projects, prepare and update project plans and status reports, allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within a given time and budget, and participate in project performance review meetings and discussions.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for meeting all technical, and contractual requirements of the procurement, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, operating, and turnover of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communications, all utilities, all furnishings, and fixtures.
  • Responsible for performing as the primary technical and managerial interface with the government representative, the Contracting Officer (CO), and the COR.
  • Responsible for the supervision, technical guidance, effective utilization, and deliverables completed by other staff as applicable.
  • Responsible for maintaining a quality control program in accordance with the contract’s Quality Control Plan, assuring system installation and testing meets requirements.
  • Responsible for creating and submitting progress reports that address the status of activities for various aspects of the contract.
  • Responsible for submitting weekly reports to the client’s representative(s).
  • Responsible for the installation, testing, and verification of all facility systems.
  • Responsible for verifying network proficiency, managing equipment warranty program, operating, and maintaining facility’s equipment and control systems, and responding to service requests.
  • Responsible for developing work plans to coincide with the concurrent (by others) building construction schedule.
  • Responsible to coordinate all activities with government representative, the CO, COR, and other entities associated with the buildings and planned works.
  • Responsible for acting with full authority on all contract matters relating to daily operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, program management, or a related field
  • Experience in Secure Facility Certification
  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired and a degree in engineering or program/project management is preferred
  • Experience in replacement of major building systems, including but not limited to roof systems, HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and/or plumbing systems is preferred
  • Ability to gain Government Agency Installation access through a background check
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is desired
  • Knowledge of computer-based facilities management software is desired
