The Senior Software Engineer will be part of an integrated NPD Operations & Sustainment team providing engineering support to our customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for engineering, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Responsible for ensuring issues or potential impacts are identified and resolved, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
• Provide problem information to Site Lead and Key Management Personnel.
• Submit PR’s for problems on-site and keep all informed of status.
• Troubleshoot and support through visual inspection and user interaction.
• Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues.
• Approve timesheets.
• Other duties as assigned

  Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Relevant work experience to include:
  • Experience with JAVA.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Security+ certification.
• TS/SCI clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with JAVA.
• Experience in researching, evaluating, and identifying issues and common patterns.
• Experience with identifying opportunities for improvements, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems using JAVA.
• Experience with maintenance and improvements to existing code as needed.
• Experience with the NGA’s configuration management and Request for Change (RFC) process for review and impact assessment.
• Understanding of developing web based systems from dynamic results for a relational database.
• Capability and the ability to adapt effectively to changes or requirements.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
• Ability to travel as required.
