Software Engineer II

Chenega IT Enterprise Services, LLC is currently seeking a Software Engineer in Fort Huachuca, Arizona

This position is contingent upon contract award and government funding. 

The Software Engineer II shall provide support to optional innovation projects under and/or technical support to optional Government Capability User Evaluation and/or to support the development of software or provide enhancements to Government off-the-shelf and commercial off-the-shelf software

Duties Include: 
  • Modify, develop, write, and assist with design of software programming applications.
  • Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.
  • Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis and test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Knowledgeable of current military related modeling and simulation concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Easily works with new technology.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Master’s degree in software engineering with 6+ years' experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8+ years’ experience with software engineering, coding, and design OR
  • Associate degree and 10+ years' experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 12+ years' experience
  • Skilled in Java and Linux
  • Skilled in web-oriented software development or cloud-based application development
  • Skilled in programming in C#, Objective-C, and JavaScript
  • IAT II certification require
  • Top secret clearance required and be eligible for access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI)
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient at complex programming and exercise independence and discretion while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques
  • Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy
