Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Engineer for MDA Engineering Management . This individual will provide technical engineering support to MDA's Director for Engineering (MDA/DE) Engineering Management (MDA/DER). MDA/DER integrates all the functions required to manage the MDA engineering enterprise, including infrastructure and program controls; technical analyses for personnel and business operations; financial planning; and developing and coordinating MDA/DE policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Provide technical engineering advice to the government customer for the management of engineering personnel including recruitment, training and career development, performance management, and awards.
Provide technical engineering support to MDA/DE and engineering contracts, task orders, and inter-agency support agreements.
Conduct annual reviews of the engineering functional workforce to determine labor category and skill set requirements.
Perform gap analyses and provide analysis results.
Recommend resource reallocation, education, and strategic plans to close gaps in engineering functions, processes, and reviews.
Assist with internal controls and property management.
Prepare, staff, and brief mandatory Inter/Intra-Agency Acquisition Review (IAR), Manager’s Internal Controls Program (MICP), and property accountability briefings. This includes assessing compliance with DoD requirements and reporting discrepancies for Agency programs. Prepare and coordinate meeting-related products including technical assessments and reports, white papers, briefing materials, courses of action, contingency plans, implementation plans, technical concurrence memoranda, decision memoranda, audit responses, action item file responses, after-action reports, executive summaries, meeting summaries, action tracking, and issue sheet comments.
Participate in formal tasking and staffing processes as an action officer, including managing staffing process controls to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications
Master's degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of experience.
Experience with US government budgeting and the Program Objective Memorandum process.
Experience using and maintaining large databases and large spreadsheets.
Development and delivery of complex engineering programs.
Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills and the ability to communicate technical skills.
Active Secret clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems. In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge. Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission. Familiarity with DoD and MDA processes and procedures. Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership. Proficient with Microsoft software applications. Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision. Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
