HR Frequently Asked Questions for Transitioning Employees
 
1. If I accept another position with Chenega MIOS, will I maintain my time in service with

Chenega? Yes, We would honor the time in service as long as you transition to another Chenega MIOS company within 6 months of your termination date..


2. If I accept another position with Chenega MIOS, will I maintain my benefits plan with
Chenega? Yes, benefits will roll-over and will not be interrupted unless you are hired for a position that is classified differently than your current position. For example, if you are hired to an SCA position, you will be offered a different benefits package than your Regular position, and vice versa.

3. When will my benefits end? Your benefits will end at the end of the month that you term. If you were enrolled in Chenega benefits (medical/dental/vision), your benefits will remain effective until the last day of the month that you term. If you are currently enrolled in a Chenega Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or an FSA, company provided contributions will end. Please contact Benefit Solvers directly at 1-888-907-1431 with any questions on the continued use of these accounts. You will receive a COBRA packet mailed to your address of record directly from Discovery, within (14) days of termination of coverage. The COBRA package will provide you with continuation of benefits enrollment options. If selecting COBRA, you will pay 100% of your benefits premium in addition to a 2% admin fee. Note: You will have (60) days to decide whether to elect COBRA coverage.

4. How do I obtain information on my 401K Account? You have the option to roll-over the balance in your 401k account to a qualified plan or request a distribution of your account balance after termination of employment. A distribution of funds may be subject to early withdrawal penalties for those employees under 59 ½ years of age. If you are enrolled in the 401k, please contact Merrill Lynch directly at www.benefits.ml.com or (800) 228-4015 for information concerning next steps with your 401K account balance. If you have questions concerning benefits, please contact the MIOS Benefits Business Partner, Sara Benavente at sara.benavente@chenega.com.
 401a – Pertains to SCA employees only - Please contact Fidelity directly for distribution options
regarding your 401(a) account.

5. When will I receive my final paycheck? You will receive your final paycheck in accordance with state law. Your final paycheck will be direct deposited.

6. What happens with my PTO? PTO is cashable. Your PTO will be deposited as a separate deposit on your last day of employment along with your final paycheck.

7. Will I be able to access my paystubs after my last day of employment? Once you term from
employment, your access to Deltek will be cut off until payroll processes. Employees have access to print pay stubs for one year after termination from the company, please save the website link and your login information, so that you may access this information as needed in the future.

8. When will I get my W2? Employees W2s are mailed by January 31st each year. Please continue to keep the HR department updated with any address changes throughout the year so we can ensure that your W2 is mailed to the correct address. 9. Can I apply for unemployment after my time at Articus ends? Yes, you will have the option to apply for unemployment benefits if you are still employed by Articus on (TBD). If you are employed by Articus until this date, your employment will be considered an involuntary layoff and you will qualify for unemployment benefits. If you leave Articus voluntarily before (TBD), your employment will end voluntarily, and you will not qualify for unemployment benefits.

10. What happens with my HSA account when I term? You may continue to use your funds for
qualified medical expenses.

11. If I have an FSA, will those funds no longer be available after my employment with Chenega MIOS ends?
If you are enrolled in an FSA (Flexible Spending Account), you have 90 days from (TBD) to submit receipts for any claims that incurred during your time of employment. All remaining funds will be forfeited after the 90-day period. Please note, your FSA card will no longer be active after your final date with MIOS. For any reimbursements needed in the 90-day period, you will need to request via the MyChoice/BenefitSolver website – www.benefits.chenega.com.

12. Would I be able to use the HRA funds until the end of the month? HRA funds will remain for 90 days past your last day with MIOS. They have 90 days from 2/28/2025 to submit for reimbursement on expenses incurred prior to 2/28/2025. After the 90 days, the funds are depleted.

13. Do I have to roll over my 401k balance or will I be able to keep the same Merrill Account? They can contact ML directly at 1-800-228-4015 or visit www.benefits.ml.com and speak with a CSR regarding their withdrawal/distribution options. I do not believe they are required to withdrawal. They can call them after 2/28/2025.
