HR Frequently Asked Questions for TEAMS FLE
1. If I accept another position with Chenega MIOS, will I maintain my benefits plan with Chenega? If you are hired under a different Chenega or MIOS company, you will no longer have BCBS of AL offered as a medical plan. You will be offered another set of BCBS plans or Aetna medical plans to choose from. At the time of transitioning to another company, HR will brief you in the new medical plan options. Dental and Vision options will not change.
2. When will my benefits end? Your benefits will end at the end of the month that you term. If you were enrolled in Chenega benefits (medical/dental/vision), your benefits will remain effective until September 30, 2023. If you are currently enrolled in a Chenega Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or an FSA, company provided contributions will end. Please contact Benefit Solvers directly at 1-888-907-1431 with any questions on the continued use of these accounts. Following your last day of employment, you may continue your medical, dental/vision plan by electing COBRA continuation coverage. Your COBRA notice and election form will be sent to your home address 7-10 business days after your benefits have been terminated.
3. How do I obtain information on my 401K Account? You have the option to roll-over the balance in your 401k account to a qualified plan or request a distribution of your account balance after termination of employment. A distribution of funds may be subject to early withdrawal penalties for those employees under 59 ½ years of age. If you are enrolled in the 401k, please contact Merrill Lynch directly at www.benefits.ml.com or (800) 228-4015 for information concerning next steps with your 401K account balance. If you have questions concerning benefits, please contact the Venturi’s HR Business Partner, Kaylie Schiavi at kschiavi@venturi-us.com.
4. When will I receive my final paycheck? You will receive your last paycheck no later than our normal payroll cycle or as required by state law. Your final paycheck will be direct deposited.
5. What happens with my PTO? Your remaining PTO balance will be paid out as a separate direct deposit on the same date as your final paycheck.
6. Will I be able to access my paystubs after my last day of employment? Once you term from employment, your access to Deltek will be cut off until payroll processes. Employees have access to print pay stubs for one year after termination from the company, please save the website link and your login information, so that you may access this information as needed in the future.
7. When will I get my W2? Employee W2s are mailed by January 31st each year. Please continue to keep the HR department updated with any address changes throughout the year so we can ensure that your W2 is mailed to the correct address. You may send updates to Kaylie Schiavi at kschiavi@venturi-us.com.
8. Can I apply for unemployment after my time at Venturi ends? Yes, you will have the option to apply for unemployment benefits if you are still employed by Venturi on 30 September. If you are employed by Venturi until this date, your employment will be considered an involuntary layoff and you will qualify for unemployment benefits. If you leave Venturi voluntarily before 30 September, your employment will end voluntarily, and you will not qualify for unemployment benefits.
9. If I do not choose to roll over my HSA to another provider after employment ends with Venturi, will there be maintenance fees associated with the account? Yes, there is a monthly account maintenance fee of $1.50.
10. Can I cash my HSA balance out after employment ends with Venturi? A cash-out option is not available for Health Savings Accounts.
11. What date will the final HSA company contribution be issued? The final company HSA contribution will post to your HSA on 25 September.
12. If I have an FSA, will those funds no longer be available after my employment with Venturi ends? If you are enrolled in an FSA (Flexible Spending Account), you have 90 days from your final date with Venturi to submit receipts for any claims that incurred during your time of employment. All remaining funds will be forfeited after the 90-day period. Please note, your FSA card will no longer be active after your final date with Venturi.
